Career Information

Frode Sundsdal 29 years of age have this year moved to Sharjah, in the Emirates. Sundsdal started Racing when he was 12 years old. His first Racing boat was a Winrace 12" with a 9.9 hp Tohatsu engine. After only one year with Racing, he told every body where he wanted to be, at the top of the podium winning his first national title in 1987, this class is now known as T250. He has after that tried out all different categories like T 400 T 550 S550 S850 And Formula 3. He has been able to be a Champion or world speed record holder in all his categories, exept Formula 1.

Second year out in F1 1999, Sundsdal intended to race, but not the full season. A big promotion tour was made in Norway, and the team did also race with the F1 boat the traditional race "Tvedestrands Rigattaen" witch is the most traditional boat race in Norway. We managed here to brake the 6 year old speed record in the fjord race with an impressive 105 knots average speed. The same race course has been race since 1928, and Sundsdal is going to be introduced to Guiness book of records for his run. Due to the fact that Sundsdal only lasted 8 seconds in Abu Dhabi last year (1999) its with great hope, and expectations that we re enter the Formula 1 Worldshampionship games for the last 2 races of the season.
