A new record of 45 participants will take part in the UIM Formula
1 World Championship Malaysian Grand Prix at Tanjung Puteri.
Of this number, 25 participants will be taking part in Formula
1 and 20 in Formula 3000.

A strong force of 700 police personnel will be on duty to keep
the event in proper order.

70 firemen will be on standby.

100 medical teams will be stationed at strategic points in Tanjung
Puteri to provide emergency assistance.

The total working/hospitality area for the F1 Powerboat Complex
occupies a massive space of 3600 square metre.

100 technical teams will be involved to facilitate the smooth
running of the event.

10km of wires have been connected for telecommunications and
lighting purposes.

1900 cubic metre of materials for the race have been shipped
in to the country via Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

2000 volunteers have been roped to help in running of this event.

150 media have been accredited for this event.

20,000 meals will be provided on a daily basis to all the officials,
volunteers and participants.
