Kourtsenovsky
out of Singapore race
Abu Dhabi - Friday,
17 October 2003 - Following the Malaysian
Grand Prix, U.I.M Commissioners have issued a "yellow card" to
Russian pilot Stanislav Kourtsenovsky for dangerous driving. Kourtsenovsky
is championship leader Guido Cappellini's team mate at the Zepter Team.
The yellow card, Kourtsenovsky's third
this season, means he is not allowed to participate in the next round of
the F1 Powerboat World Championship.
According to the U.I.M FI regulations,
a driver who has received three yellow cards loses the right to participate
in the following round of the current World Championship.
Stanislas Kourtsenovsky will not compete
in the Singapore Grand Prix but
will resume racing at the following event.
7-time World Champion Guido
Cappellini has since announced that 23-year-old Italian F2 Champion,
Ivan Brigada (Italy) will substitute Kourtsenovsky at the Singapore Grand
Prix.
Brigada started racing when he was
17 and has won four out of five races this year in the Italian F2 Championship.
Before leaving for Singapore,
Brigada tested the DAC CM 03 on the Como Lake - base of the Zepter
Team.
" This is one of my dreams come true," says the young driver. "I
hope to be
able to be in a position not to disappoint anyone. The level of driving in
F1 is very high. It is a unique opportunity and a fantastic experience to
be given such a chance by Guido Cappellini"
