F1 Powerboat day in Putrajaya
Putrajaya - September 22, 2005 - Today will mark
a new episode in the world of motorised sports where two giants in
the name of high performance motor sporting fraternity are working
together to promote the respective sports in Malaysia. The Idea Marketing
SA, Formula 1 Powerboat Worldwide Promoter in conjunction with H2O
Sports Sdn. Bhd, the local organizer for the Formula 1 Powerboat
Malaysian Grand Prix, is for the
very first time organizing the twoseater powerboat rides with the
8-time Guido Cappellini for the MotoGP riders .
The Idea Marketing representative the Vice President Madam Lavinia
Cavallero says “on behalf of the President , Mr. Nicolò di
San Germano and the Idea Marketing Team “ We are very happy
to be here once again and to have a joint venture organising the
event with H2O Sports, since Malaysia is not organising the F1 Grand
Prix this year, we feel it is very important for us to work closely
with H2o Sports in keeping the momentum of Formula 1 Powerboat presence
in this country, as H2o sports has been organizing this event for
the last four years.
Lavinia further added “the promoter of MotoGP DORNA has made
his intention to have the two-seater powerboat rides for the riders
in Asia, since Malaysia is hosting the MotoGP next weekend and the
Formula 1 Powerboat in Singapore GP has just concluded, we feel Malaysia
would be the ideal venue to have the two-seater powerboat rides with
our Formula 1 most titled world champion Cappellini.
The motoGP riders Capirossi, Xaus, Tamada, Allison, Hoppinks together the
250 cc rider West as well as the 125 Kalio, Gabor have all enjoyed
the ride on the twoseater. The most important names of the international
media could not miss the opportunity of experiencing the thrill of
high speed on a powerboat and everyone hopes to repeat such
an exciting experience when the two series will meet again around
the world.
