After discussions with all the parties involved, the decision has been taken to dedicate the Turkish F1 Grand Prix to a fund rising day for the victims of the earthquake. (see Prime Minister letter)

The programme has been modified as follows:

The starting grid will be according to standing of world championship points. A first contribution of $50.000 from the teams, the promoter and the UIM will be donated to the Minister of Tourism for the victims, substituing the prize-giving ceremony. All powerboat fans can help us increase this amount by sending their donations to the UIM who will make sure the funds are sent to the victims.
